BRIEF HISTORY OF THE BUILDING Built in 1887, as the school
serving two small hamlets, it continued to be used as such until 1964 when it closed with 11 pupils on it's final register.
It was then run as an Outdoor Pursuits Centre, but closed in the late 1990's. The building was restored in 2004 and furnished throughout
to suit the discerning holidaymaker. Completion occured in the Spring of 2005.
LOCATION AND ATTRACTIONS Superbly
situated within the Lincolnshire Wolds. Rolling hills and glacial valleys. A far cry from the popular belief that Lincolnshire
is flat and boring. Our cottage has stunning panoramic views over the Wolds from all windows. Come and explore a landscape
unspoilt by motorways where wildlife of all types still thrive.
Take advantage of the superb walks in the area, or
nearby Horse Riding and Fishing. Then, there is hunting for antiques in the small market towns of Horcastle, Louth and
Alford.
Take a trip to the coast for lovely un-spoilt blue flag sandy beaches (come in October for the seals being
born).
Don't forget the famous Lincoln Christmas markets.
If you want more excitement try your hand at go-karting
or even book yourself in for a track day at Cadwell park.
